There are a total of 6 tasks that you need to complete in the DTI Valentine’s Day Chapter 1 quest, which includes finding 4 treasure chests in a maze.

But how do you start this quest in the first place?

To start the quest, click the heart and gears icon in the screen’s bottom-left corner and select Valentine’s Quest server type.

Once ready, board the swan boat and select the 1/1 lobby option. After the countdown, an introductory cutscene will play, which you can skip.

From there, head over to the gate for another brief cutscene. Continue through the hallway, past the library, where you’ll meet Leah and trigger one more cutscene before it all starts.

Chest Locations In DTI Valentine’s Chapter 1 Quest

Before you start searching for the Chests, you need to complete a few tasks. The first task involves potion-making.

You have to complete three potions in a limited time, so be quick. Once you are done, approach the portal on the right-hand side of the room to proceed.

The next task is the Archery Balcony, which involves shooting archery from the balcony for a total of 250 points within 4 minutes. You should shoot the archery with precision because if you fail, you’ll need to restart the entire chapter.

Gold hearts are worth 25 points, and Pink hearts are worth 10 points.

After you’ve scored enough points in archery, you will be teleported, and a gold heart will appear. Shooting this heart opens the Fortress Portal.

Once you’ve successfully opened the portal, you will be transported to a red area where your task is to locate the four treasure chests.

Escape The Maze To Locate Chests And Unlock Them

Inside a stone structure on top of the stairs, you will find the first chest beyond the large gazebo. The second one is hidden within a vine-covered gazebo. Simply check behind a nearby tree to find it.

Now, the third chest is tucked away in the forested area towards the back left.

The fourth and final chest is inside the building with a maze; navigate through until you reach a glowing blue chest at the end—if you spot two pianos, you’re close.

Locating and finding the chests are not enough for this task. You need to open the chests, which is the tricky part.

Opening these chests involves solving card puzzles. There are two card puzzles in Chapter 1 of the DTI Valentine quest, where one requires matchmaking, and the other requires remembering the position.

While matchmaking the cards (16 different cards), you must pair them in 8 pairs, each pair having the same design. You will have a very short time to remember the position of cards and must complete it within five attempts.

Sometimes, you may face other card games, but you need to remember the position of the card with a butterfly. After the game starts, all three cards are flipped and shuffled, and you must pick one with a butterfly.
