How To Build A Forge In Assassin's Creed Shadows?

Getting your weapons upgraded would be beneficial in Assassin’s Creed: Shadows because you will need its powers later in your journey.

The upgrading system lets you keep your favorite weapons going strong through the adventure until the end of the story. This guide walks you through finding the blacksmith and building a forge at your hideout.

Finding The Blacksmith In AC Shadows

You will unlock the ability to build a forge during the “Way of the Blacksmith” quest. The quest will automatically be triggered once you build the Kakurega at your Hideout in Tomiko’s Homestead.

Locating Heiji In Sakai

Find Heiji, the blacksmith, with these clues:

He is in southwestern Izumi Settsu
He is in Sakai
East of the Port of Sakai.

To reach Heiji efficiently,

Travel to Sakai.
From there, take the main street and make use of your Observe ability on the western side as you focus on it.

Search for Stockpiles (great pellets of resources) and dispatch Scouts to grab them.
Do “liberate cargo” contracts at these kakurega locations for significant resource rewards.
Collect the three bucketfuls of rocks (15 minerals) from near where you rescued Heiji.

Construction Process

Once you have all the materials needed:

Return to your Hideout at Tomiko’s Homestead.
Interact with the crafting table.
Open the Build menu.
Select the Forge (located in the second group down).
Place the building on the grounds of your Hideout.

You can build a forge after collecting all the required resources.

Use The Forge To Upgrade Weapons

So now that your forge has been established and is in operation, you can upgrade your weapon:

Go inside the Forge building.
Speak to Heiji to open the upgrade menu.
Browse your weapons and gear.
Check the left menu stats (green stats denote improvement).
When satisfied with the upgrade potential, hold the button listed at the bottom of the menu to confirm the upgrade.
