Finding Takeda Motoaki, otherwise known as The Fox or The Performer, is one of the final assassination targets in AC Shadows.
This eminent archer cunningly hides his scent behind a fox’s mask and could very well be one of the hardest targets to find and kill.
So, before you go out after Takeda Motoaki, you should be roughly at level 32-33 and have completed “The Music” quest. Being leveled up is highly recommended, as it could be challenging to attack him when unprepared.
Locating Takeda Motoaki In Ac Shadows
In “The Performer” quest, return to Nagahide in Obama. Following a cutscene, you will play as Yasuke automatically and be on the heels of Samemaru.
Defeating Samemaru in battle while avoiding his heavy kick attacks then transfers control to Naoe for the final contract killing.

As Naoe, head to the Samurai Yashiki District. Use Eagle Eye to follow the blue dot and the sound of biwa music.
Find a servant praying at an altar on the district’s southern side: follow her and enter the house marked with a blue dot. Interact with the scroll under the banner to trigger a confrontation with Takeda Motoaki.
Defeating The Fox “Takeda Motoaki” In Ac Shadows
The boss fight against Takeda Motoaki is a nightmare, especially when playing as Naoe. He primarily uses charge attacks and combos them effectively.
Additionally, his sword is poisoned, so you don’t want to get hit multiple times in succession. Use your Naoe abilities and keep your distance rather than trying to dodge every attack; this works well for the kusarigama weapon.
You must attack until he counters, evade his follow-up kick, and then perform a Posture Strike for maximum damage.

Following the defeat of Motoaki, you get 2000 EXP, 3 Mastery Points, and the Snakebite Legendary Katana.
Now, with this target down, you are almost done with the assassinations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, with only two remaining Shinbakfu members left.
