How To Complete Skeleton Key Mission In Doom: The Dark Ages

The Skeleton Key Challenge is one of the mission challenges in Chapter 12 of Doom: The Dark Ages.

To complete it, you need to open two doors that require a Secret Key. If you do this, you’ll earn 50 Gold.

These Secret Key doors also count as hidden secrets in the level. You can only open them after finding the purple Secret Key.

How To Get The Secret Key

Play the level until you find the Yellow Keycard. After getting it, drop down the big elevator shaft. At the bottom, a jump pad will appear.

Use the jump pad to go up to a secret area. In this area, you will find a Gold Chest. Next, go to the other side of the elevator shaft. You will see two arrows. Go to the lower one and use your Shield Charge to break the vent there.

Skeleton Key Doom The Dark Ages — Grab the Yellow Keycard first to activate the jump pad for the Secret Key.

Then, jump and climb through the tunnels. At the end, you will reach a room with demons. Defeat all the demons to turn off the forcefield. After that, you can pick up the purple Secret Key.

First Secret Door

After picking up the key, leave the room. On your right, you will see the first Secret Key door.

Use the key to open it. When you go inside, the door will lock and a strong enemy called Agaddon Hunter will appear.

Beat it, and then you can take the Wraithstone inside. This room is also Secret #8.

Second Secret Door

The second Secret Key door is near the Sentinel Shrine, in the lower part of the map. Before going there, drop down the elevator shaft again and grab the Shield Rune.

Then finish the final red combat fight. After that, go back to a side room you passed earlier.

Use the key to open the door. Inside, you will find the Kreed Makyr Toy. This room is also Secret #9. By opening both doors, you finish the Skeleton Key Challenge and earn 50 Gold.
