Since the game doesn’t show character roles clearly, custom roles have been created to help players understand each character’s main purpose.
All characters are rated under the same conditions to keep things fair. Each character is treated as if they are at level 50, with all skills upgraded to level 5.
This tier list in this article shows how well each character performs in different parts of the game.

They are also considered to have the best possible Modules and Shells equipped, with the right stats and sets.
Both auto-play and manual play are included to show overall performance, since most players won’t play manually all the time.
If a character works best with certain teammates, that is also taken into account when rating them.
Game Modes Covered
The tier list looks at how characters perform in four main areas. Campaign covers the main story and other PvE (player vs. environment) modes like Ember Trek and EtherNet Rally.
Threshold looks at how each character does against the three module farming bosses: Aurora, DokiDoki, and Terrormaton.
These bosses are tough, especially on Inferno difficulty, and need different team setups. Union Bosses ratings are based on how well characters perform across all three Union Bosses.
For PvP, the list is split into two parts, AI PvP and Real-Time Arena (RTA), because some characters are better when controlled by a player instead of AI.
Character Roles
Characters are put into one of four main roles based on how they help the team. DPS characters mainly do damage, but some can also help teammates or weaken enemies.
Debuff characters are focused on making enemies weaker by lowering their speed, blocking their turns, or using crowd control.
Some debuffers also deal damage. Support characters give useful buffs to allies to make the team stronger.
Sustain characters help keep the team alive by healing, shielding, or taking damage as a tank.
