MLB The Show 25’s Tokyo Series Program has lots of exclusive Diamond Dynasty cards featuring stars from the 2025 MLB Tokyo Series—Los Angeles Dodgers against Chicago Cubs.

In the Tokyo Series Program, players can complete various missions and moments to unlock Japanese-born players for their Diamond Dynasty squads.

Once you have completed the assigned mission, you will be able to earn exciting rewards, which include exclusive cosmetics and in-game currency rewards.

For full rewards, you will need to earn 75 Star Points. Here is what you earn along the way:

The Quickest Way To Finish The Challenge

To start the Tokyo Series challenges in MLB The Show 25, go to the “Programs” section in the main menu and select the Tokyo Series Program.

Step 1: Complete All Moments (30 Points)

Start by completing all six Tokyo Series Moments. Each moment is worth 5 points, giving you a total of 30 points right off the bat. This immediately unlocks the 84 OVR Shohei Ohtani card.

Step 2: Create a Lineup Intended for Maximum Efficacy

After unlocking Ohtani, create a lineup that maximizes your efficiency:

• Add Shohei Ohtani to your lineup
• Fill the rest with LA Dodgers and Chicago Cubs players
• Include primary position DHs and RFs to work on stat missions

Step 3: Playthrough Conquest Map

The MLB 25 Conquest Map is perfect for completing these missions:

• With that created lineup, play against other teams
• You will earn additional rewards (packs, stubs) while completing program missions
• This might prove easier with lower difficulties (Rookie or Veteran) to accumulate stats

Step 4: Complete Player Missions in Order

Ohtani Missions (10 Points)

• Total plate appearances managed by 84 OVR Ohtani (5 points)
• 350 PXP earned by 84 OVR Ohtani (5 points)

Once you reach 40 points, you’ll unlock the 85 OVR Shota Imanaga. Add him instantly to your rotation.

Imanaga Missions (10 Points)

• Total 9 innings pitched using 85 OVR Imanaga (5 points)
• Earn 500 PXP with 85 OVR Imanaga (5 points)

Reach a total of 55 points, and you will have unlocked 85 OVR Seiya Suzuki. Immediately include him in your squad.

Suzuki Missions (10 Points)

• 10 total plate appearances with 85 OVR Suzuki (5 points)
• 350 PXP earned with 85 OVR Suzuki (5 points)

Step 5: Completed Stat Missions (15 Points)

While you’re at it with the player missions, start working on these missions:

• 5 hits from primary DH players (5 points) – Ohtani is eligible
• 20 strikeouts by starting pitchers (5 points) – Possible with Imanaga
• 5 extra-base hits by primary right fielders (5 points) – Suzuki’s fine with that

Step 6: PXP Missions (15 Points)

Missions are repeatable, so you may complete them many times:

• Earn 1,000 PXP with players from the Tokyo Series (5 points)
• Earn 1,000 PXP with players from the Dodgers (5 points)
• Earn 1,000 PXP with players from the Cubs (5 points)

Tips For Accelerated Progress

• Stack Your Lineup: Make sure to place your Tokyo Series players right up top for the maximum number of plate appearances.

• Use Team Affinity Programs: If you lack enough Dodgers or Cubs players, complete the first moment of their Team Affinity Programs to earn players like:

1. 79 OVR Eric Davis (Dodgers)
2. Dennis Eckersley (Cubs)

• Buy Players on the Cheap: If needed, buy cheap Dodgers and Cubs players through the marketplace:

1. Max Muncy (~200 stubs)
2. Dansby Swanson (under 1,000 stubs)
3. Teoscar Hernandez (budget option)

• Conquest Strategy: During Conquest:

1. Rapid expansion during the first turns
2. Simulate only against single-digit tiles
3. Build reinforcements before attacking strongholds
4. Choose lower difficulty whenever possible

• Parallel XP Boost: Keep in mind that online play achieves 1.5x parallel XP compared to offline, hence if you feel up to it, consider ranked or events.
