Update 4.5 in Anime Vanguards introduced the Ant Island Raid, a difficult yet rewarding dungeon experience.
The Ant Island Raid is a tower defense gamemode in which players can strategically place units to hold back waves of ants, bringing them up to a boss battle with an Ant King.
Several unique mechanics set this raid apart from others, including the tunnels used by the ants to spawn enemies and a modifier system that determines both gameplay and rewards.
How To Gain Access To The Ant Island Raid In Anime Vanguards?
The Ant Island Raid needs to be unlocked by clearing the story mode progression through Planet Namak, Sand Village, and Double Dungeon.
Once you defeat the required bosses in those respective areas, the raid will then be opened for access in the raids section of this game.
A good team composition for the solo player is a primary DPS, Song Jinwu, for great synergy; Igis and Chen for area damage control; Orime for support capabilities (might be replaced by Ichigo); and Double Farm (Takara and Speedwagon) to ensure the economic stability of the raid.
Monarch units make the raid a lot easier, but having them isn’t essential for victory.
The recommended team focuses on balancing damage output and economic sustainability so that you’ll be able to fully upgrade all your units by the raid’s end.
Starting Cards And Modifiers
For starting card selection, Exterminator enhances damage based on the open tunnels available; Lifeline regenerates life stock every five waves; Press It decreases cooldowns by fifty percent, hence a good consideration for Song Jinwu.
AVOID King’s Burden; its drawbacks outweigh its benefits in this raid. Throughout the raid, prioritize the Harvest modifier whenever possible for maximum currency gain.
If you are confident in your team’s capabilities, you can select difficulty-increasing modifiers like faster or stronger enemies for additional rewards.
Wave Progression Strategy (Waves 1-10)
The early game is all about establishing economy and defenses. Begin by placing Cha In units near every entrance to each tunnel to control the initial ant waves.
Focus on tunnel management by stepping on ant tunnels to prevent additional spawns, though this isn’t strictly necessary for success.

By wave 8, ensure that both Farm units are fully maxed out. This economic determination will persist for the remainder of the raid.
Around wave 6, positioning Song Jinwu, Igis, and Chen should begin to further your damage output against increasingly difficult waves.
Mid Game: Waves 11-20
As you enter the mid-game, upgrade one Song Jinwu to maximum first to utilize his summon ability effectively.
You should then prioritize upgrading every Cha In unit; their types must be upgraded together with the Igis and Chen units for full area coverage.

The Pret modifier is especially useful starting in this phase, if ever available, as it lowers the issuance of cooldowns and allows Song Jinwu to summon and spawn more minions.
This would synergize with Igis being buffed when Song Jinwu makes use of his summoning skill.
End Game: Waves 21-30
It is at the very end that all your DPS units need to be fully upgraded and placed strategically to maximize the creation of kill areas.
New waves are much harder, testing your defenses; however, the pressure should become manageable if you prepare correctly.
In preparation for the Ant King battle, position your units to maximize damage along the anticipated path of the Ant King’s march.
The last wave is accompanied by the Ant King, who enters with a huge 775 million health and yellow overshield, marking the climax of your raid experience.

With the Ant King coming on the last wave, any remaining enemies are reset or disappear, giving you an unobstructed path to concentrate all attention on the imminent threat.
The boss has a huge health pool, but his speed is low enough to give you lots of room to concentrate your powers of destruction.
Your maxed-out units, especially those following the earlier upgrade paths, can wipe off the yellow overshield in no time.
Position your units to make a kill zone along the boss’s path and let Song Jinwu’s summons do the rest.
The synergy between Song Jinwu and Igis and Chen would then stand tall during this stage, rapidly consuming the Ant King’s health.
Rewards And Progression
Completing Ant Island Raid in Anime Vanguards will earn you Monarch Tokens for use in the Dungeon Shop and a further 10% chance to gain Red Keys, needed for the evolution of a couple of units, namely Song Jinwu, Igis, and Chen.
The raid also serves as part of the quest line for evolved units, for which you build a requirement of 2,000 coins for complete unlocking.
