The “Face Your Fears” quest in Avowed is a main story mission that takes you into Ryngrim’s Domain, where you need to complete a series of sub-missions.

Restore The Broken Statue, Defeat Ryngrim’s Skeletons, and Speak with Ryngrim are a few quests that are part of this main mission.

Collect The Statue Parts For Restoration

To restore the broken statue, you must collect three vital artifacts: the heart, the head, and the hand. Each piece is located in a different segment of Ryngrim’s Domain and must be recovered at great personal risk.

The Heart

First, to get the Heart, approach the altar and look for stairs immediately on its right.

The path will be blocked by branches that you need to burn. After burning away the branches, there will be a hole to drop through, and the path onward will be swimming.

Stay alert because, at this point, there will be enemies confronting you. Follow your objective marker until you see a purple silhouette sitting near some tables. There, you should be able to get the Arda Heart.

The Head

The Head is a more difficult affair. From the altar, head to the extreme right and descend those stairs.

You will find multiple branches on the way, which you must burn away, leading your way to fight against a Scourge Skeleton Wizard and an Arisen Skeleton Ranger.

After dispatching them, to your left, a purple wall should be visible, overcome by Yatzli’s talent.

The next part entails swimming through a passage that divides into two ways. The right hole leads to a treasure chest with loot, including Corrupted Adra, White Steel Chunk, Stelgaer Leather, and 336 Gold.

The left one is where your objective is. Downward swimming brings you to a room where you will combat a Spectre and an Arisen Skeleton Monk.

The table in this room has an Exceptional Arquebus placed on it. Keep going, defeating more foes until a large door blocks the way.

After passing it, turn left at the purple silhouette to witness a conversation with a Villager stating his destiny. The Statue’s Head lies on top of a side table.

The Hand

The last piece, the Hand, has you head up the right stairs from the altar. Burn away more blocking branches, then confront a frightful number of Arisen Skeletons.

As you progress through the quest, you reach an open room with a wall marked in purple; that is where you get to battle a Queen Crystal Spider and her spawn.

Once you’re through, continue ahead past a wall marked in purple to find a room with a large red circle. Jump across this circle to get to the table where the Statue Hand awaits you.

Once you have all three pieces, take them back to the altar to begin the restoration process and ready yourself for a tough battle with Ryngrim’s Skeletons.

After you are victorious, Ryngrim herself will appear. Speak with her and then interact with the statue behind her to finish your quest; restoring the statue rewards you with 663 experience points.
