The Windfall Key is an important piece of the puzzle for players in Atomfall, which translates into accessing a powerful Signal Redirector.

This guide will walk you through the intricate process of finding the key and accessing the valuable technology hidden within the Protocol’s heavily guarded territories.

Start Windfall Shipment Quest In Atomfall To Get Key

Skethermoor is arguably the most hostile atomfall territory of all, packed with aggressive and trigger-happy soldiers and bot-made death deliverers.

Despite the risks, brave players can uncover the Windfall Shipment, a high-tech gear confiscated by the Protocol.

Grendel’s Head Pub will be your starting point because it is located at Wyndham Village. You will then talk with the soft-hearted Alf, who owns the pub. Tell him that you will help the villagers.

He will ask you to collect messages from his contacts in Skethermoor. First, locate Nora Thorndike’s barn at coordinates 41.2E, 78.3N. Inform her that Alf sent you and collect her message.

You must ask Nora about BARD tech in the area. She will tell you there’s supposed to be another Signal Redirector at Skethermoor Prison, rumored to be at a smuggler shipment.

Finding The Windfall Key

From Nora’s barn, go west to Brinsop Manor and then south to the road blockade. Be careful of the military checkpoint in case the alarm is triggered.

There should be a letter under the abandoned cars, showing information about the Windfall Shipment’s location.

That bunker can be found in 38.0E, 77.4N coordinates, accessible if you have completed The Little Tea Room Investigation.

On entering the bunker, you should turn right, where you will find a locked door leading to a secure safehouse.

Look for wall vents across the hall that you can climb into, which lead to a hidden compartment with narrow pipes.

Squeeze through the pipes, and you will find the BARD Safe Room Key. Use it to open the door and collect the supplies reserved for top scientists.

Immediately left of the Safe Room’s entrance, you’ll find another vent. Climb through and look down.

You’ll discover the body of the scientist code-named Windfall, along with the keycard to open the shipment crate.

There’s a letter here that states that the Protocol seized this shipment and sent it to a Field Station in Skethermoor.

The Field Station is challenging to locate, positioned at 41.3E, 74.9N, between the Ruined Hamlet and Crop Fields. Expect heavy security, including multiple soldier squads and at least one robot.

Once inside, navigate left twice to reach the Signal Redirector. Use Windfall’s Keycard to open the locked crate at the back of the room.

With the Signal Redirector in hand, you can now ransack the bunker’s armory for upgraded weapons before escaping.
