Abyssal Hull is one of the most difficult-to-attain and rewarding fishing abilities in Wuthering Waves 2.1.
To unlock the Abyssal Hull ability, you must complete a series of quests, collect various in-game items, and upgrade your previous fishing ability levels.

Upgrade Previous Abilities To Obtain Abyssal Hull
The Abyssal Hull stands as a crucial gondola upgrade in Wuthering Waves 2.1’s “Old Man and Whale” event. You need this upgrade to explore Abyssal areas and advance through the event’s storyline.
Before unlocking the Abyssal Hull, you must complete several prerequisite fishing abilities in a specific order.
Your journey begins with the Advanced Hull, which you receive automatically through the tutorial quest.
Next, you must obtain the Capacity Upgrade I, which demands twenty Old Compass, thirty Palm Tree Logs, twenty Metal Debris, and one thousand five hundred Riccioli Fishery Coins.
After securing the Capacity Upgrade, you must unlock the Hydraulic Capstan using ten Old Compass, thirty Coast Flax, twenty Metal Debris, and two thousand Riccioli Fishery Coins.
The final prerequisite is the Reaction Thruster, requiring ten Old Compass, twenty Palm Tree Logs, thirty Coast Flax, and one thousand Riccioli Fishery Coins.
You can either collect every material you need by completing Event Requests during the Old Man and the Whale event or buy it from Planck’s Dock Shop using Riccioli Fishery Coins.
You will automatically earn these coins by selling the fish you have caught to the dock. Once you get all prerequisite abilities, you can finally have the Abyssal Hull.
It takes one Universal Compass and three thousand Riccioli Fishery Coins in the last upgrade. The Universal Compass will be obtained automatically while progressing through the event’s main quests.
Finally, after collecting all necessary items, go to the Fishing Ability menu at any dock to buy the Abyssal Hull upgrade.
Once you complete this upgrade, you gain access to Abyssal areas, where you will find new types of fish.
