Destiny 2 is a popular online multiplayer shooter game developed by Bungie where players complete missions, fight enemies, and explore different worlds together.
In the game, players can earn powerful weapons, rare gear, and special Emblems by finishing different activities and challenges.
For the week of April 22 to April 29, 2025, Bungie has added a new Emblem in Destiny 2 that players can unlock by completing the Sunless Cell Nightfall Strike.
Unlock The Break Free Emblem By Completing Sunless Cell In Destiny 2
To get the Break Free Emblem, you need to complete the Sunless Cell Strike from the Nightfall menu under Vanguard Ops.
You can complete it on any difficulty. The event starts on April 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. PT and ends on April 29, 2025, at 9:59 a.m. PT.

After you finish the Strike, you will not get the Emblem right away. Bungie said they need some time to collect the data of everyone who completes the Sunless Cell Nightfall during this time.
Once the developers finish collecting the data, they will give the Emblem to everyone who completed it.
Bungie did not say in the April 17 TWID if the Break Free Emblem would come back later. From how they are giving it out, it looks like this might be your only chance to get it.
Why Playing The Sunless Cell Nightfall Now Is The Right Time
Since the story for Episode Heresy is over and there are no big updates until Rite of the Nine on May 6, many players are using this time to finish old tasks.
Some are trying to get better Nightfall weapons, some are trying to reach the Lighthouse, and others are grinding Gambit. Right now, it is best to focus on Nightfalls because of the rewards.

For the first time ever, the Sunless Cell will be the featured Nightfall. There will also be double Nightfall rewards this week.

The Adept weapon reward will be The Palindrome, coming back for the second time. This is a good chance to get new or better rolls if you missed it before.
