RoadCraft is another simulation game that Saber Interactive, producers of the MudRunner and SnowRunner, is working on.
The gameplay puts the player at the head of a disaster recovery company, getting hands-on work to restore an area struck by a natural disaster.
Driving more than 40 different types of vehicles, such as bulldozers and construction cranes, players will be clearing debris, rebuilding infrastructures, and getting local industries back on their feet on eight unique 4-km² maps.
From clearing wood to filling a ditch with sand or asphalt, the physics engine will give the player unprecedented games for up to four players and will have cross-platform play and in-game voice chat.
Pre-Order Is Now Available
The game will be released on May 20, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. However, the pre-orders for RoadCraft are now live, granting players exclusive content for their early effort in securing a copy.
Two editions are balancing the scales for pre-orders:
- The Standard Edition, with the base game containing an exclusive Aramatsu Bowhead 30T DLC vehicle, a powerful tracked heavy dump truck with a 360-degree rotating base that dumps sand monsters for other trucks.
- The Rebuild Edition with Invictus Type A scout vehicle, all that of Standard Editions, and Rebuild Expansion (this new DLC will be released in 2025 and will add two new maps filled with extra missions, activities, and utility vehicles).
Interested parties are welcome to pre-order on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Microsoft Store to prepare for transforming the aftermath when the game launches.
Demo To See RoadCraft Before It Goes Live
RoadCraft does not have an official “Early Access” program, but players eager to try the game can participate in a limited-time demo during Steam Next Fest from February 24 to March 3, 2025.
This demo will give a decent glimpse of what players can expect from the true game.

The mission structure in the demo consists of three missions purposely designed for demo play across unique maps:
- Fix the Grid: Players will cut down trees using a forestry harvest, cut stumps with a Mulcher to make way for a Trench digger, and reconnect the factory to the power grid.
- Cleat the Way: Using a bulldozer, players will clear away anything that could obstruct movements due to a sandstorm, followed by renovations on the roads using a Paver and Roller so that resources convoys would have the way.
- Seal the Breach: Players will retrieve damaged pipes and recycle them using fixed or mobile cranes while also taking advantage of queries for creating makeshift paths to remote areas.
The demo supports the whole cooperative experience with up to four players, allowing friends to work together to complete these challenging missions more efficiently.
Players should note that any progress they make during the demo will not transfer over to the full game once it is officially out.
Early Access Via Steam Next Fest
While not a traditional “Early Access” release, the Steam Next Fest demo is the only chance for players to experience RoadCraft before its full launch.
This limited-time preview on Steam represents the core gameplay that will summarize the whole experience: the interactions of heavy machinery, resource management for reconstruction, and rebuilding of important infrastructure.

The demo serves as both a tool for technical testing and a means of promoting the game before its release. It allows potential buyers to witness its advanced physics engine and unique gameplay before purchasing the game.
For Saber Interactive, the feedback during the demo is invaluable, helping with final tweaks before the May 20th launch.
