If you want Runes in Rune Slayer, they can be obtained by killing any mob in the game. Runes named after a mob can only be obtained from killing the respective mobs.
Runes are powerful items that can be slotted into your armor and weapons, increasing their stats and unique effects.
These enhancements come in four rarities: Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary- offering progressively more substantial and unique benefits. Once you get your runes, you want to go to the smith to socket them.
How To Socket Runes In Rune Slayer?
Socketing runes is a powerful way to boost your items in Rune Slayer. The steps below will help you to socket runes effectively;
Check For Available Rune Slots
Inspect your gear—such as medium leather masks—by hovering over the item. You’ll notice small dots beneath the item, which indicate how many slots it has.
For example, equipping a helmet may reveal two dots, meaning it can hold up to two runes.
Visit the Blacksmith And Choose The Item
Once you have identified gear with rune slots, go to the blacksmith and select the option to talk with the Rune Smith.

Press E to speak with Smith and select “Are You a Rune, Smith?” As soon as you do that, you can press the item that you can put your rune on.
Select the item you want to enhance. For instance, Slime Boots can hold up to four runes. After selecting your gear, choose the rune you wish to socket.
Pay The Socketing Fee To Confirm And Enhance
Socketing a rune costs you a small amount of silver. While this may seem pricey, it’s worth the investment if you have a high-quality item.
After choosing the rune, confirm the socketing it into your gear. This will immediately apply the rune’s effects, improving your item’s stats or abilities.
Following these steps, you can enhance your gear and gain an edge in your adventures. Don’t hesitate to socket powerful runes into your best equipment to maximize their potential!
